Philomena Chai was in the banking industry for 3 years and was running her own business as a wholesaler in the retail industry before venturing into real estate. She decided to sell the business to her partners and explored real estate when she started to invest into property.
Philomena was also a part of Aeropod’s pioneering team, it is SP Setia’s integrated transportation hub project in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. At Aeropod, her key responsibilities were in sales and marketing, with 60 acres of land and 3.8 million square feet gross floor area, it comprises of commercial boutique offices, retail outlets, international class hotels, service apartments, and luxury residential towers. It is anchored by the redevelopment and modernization of the existing Tanjung Aru railway station, Aeropod has a gross development value of RM1.8 Billion.
Later, Philomena was elected by SP Setia to be East Malaysia’s representative to lead the Battersea Power Station in London project. While marketing Eton Residence and Coral Bay, premier projects of Singapore’s GSH Corporation, she managed to garner solid experience selling to international markets.
With over 17 years of experience in project marketing, Philomena now operates PropNex Malaysia’s Sabah branch, she has achieved PropNex Platinum 3 times in just 6 months by accomplishing over RM100,000 in commissions per month. Philomena hopes to continue growing the company by providing professional services and creating a solid brand in the real estate industry.
